The Outback Jungle Safari let us experience the "real" Domincan Republic. The modified truck took us through the valleys and rainforests to a small, two-room house where a family of locals live. We saw a donkey that is sent to town daily to get water on its own, then headed out on a small boat cruise of the river, past a French millionaire's mansion. Later, we went wakeboarding before heading to a small zoo, where I was the only female willing to hold a snake. Our tour guide, Andy, was awesome. He was constantly cracking jokes that weren't funny, until he started laughing hysterically. This day trip was definitely worth the money.
